On our 10th anniversary season, we will be bringing the Bell Summer Theatre Festival to our audiences once again. Our theatre space is on the grounds of the Bell Homestead National Historic Site and admission to all performances is on a pay-what-you-can basis.

Bell Summer Theatre Festival

2017 season

2017 is our 10th anniversary season and we will be bringing the Bell Summer Theatre Festival to our audiences once again. This year we will be opening our season with our hilarious version of the original tale, definitely not Disney's! Snow White and Not The Usual Dwarves by Paul Amato and Directed by Victoria Hudson-Muir. This production takes place July 1 at 4, July 2 at 7:30, July 3 at 4 pm, July 6, 7 and 8, 13, 14 and 15th at 7:30 

Our second offering, the Merchant of Venice by Shakespeare is an homage to our first play we ever produced for the Bell Summer Theatre Festival, a Shakespearean piece. Directed by Peter Muir and starring Teri Bedard as Shylock. The play  takes place July 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, August 3, 4 and 5th at 7:30. August 6 is at 4 pm.

Our final play is entitled Walk in my Moc's. Written by our Native collective and directed by Makelitv Emarthle, it looks at the topic of Missing Indigenous women through Native and Settler eyes when two men switch bodies. Our theatre space is on the grounds of the Bell Homestead National Historic Site with performances on Aug 10, Aug 11, Aug 12, Aug 17, Aug 18, Aug 19 at 7:30.  On Aug 24, 25, 26, Sept. 1, 2 and 3rd at 7:30 pm, we will be performing at Dajoh Youth and Elder Centre,1738 4th Line in Ohsweken. 

 

Admission to all performances is on a pay-what-you-can basis.
