Bell Summer Theatre Festival
2017 is our 10th anniversary season and we will be bringing the Bell Summer Theatre Festival to our audiences once again. This year we will be opening our season with our hilarious version of the original tale, definitely not Disney's! Snow White and Not The Usual Dwarves by Paul Amato and Directed by Victoria Hudson-Muir. Our second offering, the Merchant of Venice by Shakespeare is an homage to our first play we ever produced for the Bell Summer Theatre Festival, a Shakespearean piece. Directed by Peter Muir and starring Teri Bedard as Shylock. Our final play is entitled Walk in my Moc's. Written by our Native collective and directed by Makelitv Emarthle, it looks at the topic of Missing Indigenous women through Native and Settler eyes when two men switch bodies. Our theatre space is on the grounds of the Bell Homestead National Historic Site with performances at Chiefswood Museum and Woodland Cultural Centre for Walk in my Moc's. Admission to all performances is on a pay-what-you-can basis.
